Forbrick, Metrick Named to MEC Baseball All-Tournament Team

BECKLEY – West Virginia Wesleyan's Eric Forbrick and Chris Metrick were named to the MEC Baseball All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the Shepherd-Charleston championship game Sunday evening.

Forbrick, a freshman catcher-outfielder from Orlando, Fla., hit .529 (9-for-17) in Wesleyan's four games while scoring four runs and knocking in two.

Metrick, a junior closer from Beckley, W. Va., made just one appearance but what an appearance it was.

The righty reliever went six innings in Wesleyan's 14-12 13 inning win over West Liberty.

He picked up the win as he didn't allow an earned run on three hits while striking out 10.

Wesleyan finished third in the MEC Tournament.

Shepherd's JJ Sarty was named the MVP of the Tournament.
