DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – West Virginia Wesleyan senior defensive lineman Jihad Abdur-Rahman (pictured) has been selected to play in the seventh annual National Bowl, which is slated for Sunday, Dec. 4 from Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla. The game is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
Rahman, from Savannah, Ga., made 22 tackles including two for loss and also had two pass break-ups after playing in all 11 games during the 2016 season.
"We are excited that Jihad has an opportunity to showcase his skill set in a post-season game," remarked Wesleyan head coach Del Smith. "I know he will represent WVWC well."
Rahman will be joined by the best NCAA Division II and Division III college football players from around the nation at the National Bowl. The National Bowl creates an exciting scouting opportunity for top-level talent from D2 and D3 seniors.
This year's National Bowl has 110 certified All-Americans ready to be scouted by more than 10 NFL teams, and scouts from the CFL and arena league.
