SOUTH EUCLID, OHIO -- The Bobcats were able to win their fifth consecutive game Saturday with a 62-49 victory over the Notre Dame Falcons.
With the teams tied at 42-42 with under 10 minutes to go, the Bobcats went on a 20-7 run to end the game. Forced turnovers helped Wesleyan pull away in the second half.
Wesleyan was able to hold the Falcons to just 49 points, while finding plenty of offense. Sophomore Luka Petrovic had 15 points to go along with 8 steals, teammate Aaron Ariri scored 10 points to go along with 6 rebounds, and Junior Fred Brondsted contributed with 12 points.
Notre Dame was led by Senior Oliver Megins who recorded a double-double, scoring 14 points while hauling in 13 rebounds.
Wesleyan continues to rise in the MEC standings, climbing to 7-17. Notre Dame falls to 5-19 on the year.
Wesleyan will look to continue their win streak at home against the number five ranked team in the country, West Liberty. The game will be February 15th at 7:30 p.m.
