WHEELING – It was a tough two days for the West Virginia Wesleyan men's golf team on the Palmer Course at the Oglebay Resort Intercollegiate Sunday and Monday.
Wesleyan failed to place anyone in the top 50 and finished 14th out of 16 teams in the two-day event.
Wesleyan fired a 321 on Sunday and then a 335 on Monday for a total of 656.
Indiana (Pa.) University won the team title with a 593 (300-293) and the University of Charleston was the runner up with a 596 (302-294).
Three golfers for Wesleyan all finished in a tie for 69th shooting a 164.
Kenneth Sames from Indiana (Pa.) and Andrew Patterson from West Chester shared the individual title with a pair of 139s.
Wesleyan will return to action April 10-11 when they host the MEC Spring Invitational at the Stonewall Resort.
