BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team stayed put in the third weekly installment of the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Rankings that were released today.
Wesleyan remained 22nd nationally after a 1-1 week in which they played two top-five regionally ranked teams.
Last week, the Bobcats defeated then No. 4 regionally-ranked Notre Dame by a 1-0 score before falling to No. 5 regionally-ranked Millersville by a 3-2 score.
Wesleyan, under the guidance of veteran head coach Gavin Donaldson, is 4-1-1 on the season.
Mountain East Conference rival University of Charleston remained first in the national rankings with a perfect 6-0-0 mark.
Wesleyan and UC are the only two teams from the MEC ranked nationally.
The Bobcats also retained the same ranking in the Atlantic Regional Rankings this week, remaining at No. 3.
Charleston stays first in the regional rankings as well while Millersville moved to second.
The MEC's Notre Dame fell to sixth this week while Urbana makes their first appearance in the regional rankings at No. 7.
Wesleyan will play again this Wednesday on the road at Concord at 3:30 p.m.
