BRIDGEPORT -- Urbana's Harry Tamplin is the Mountain East Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while West Virginia Wesleyan's Paul Smith is the league's Defensive Player of the Week.

Tamplin, a sophomore from Kings Langley, England, provided a pair of goals for the Blue Knights last week in a win over Concord. He converted a penalty to put the Blue Knights up 3-2, and then scored the golden goal in overtime on a header off a free kick as UU improved to 3-1 in conference play.

Smith, a senior from Glasgow, Scotland, stepped forward to add a brace in a 3-2 win over Concord, including the game-winner in the 85th minute. He also helped the 22nd-ranked Bobcats from his defensive midfield spot post a shutout and hold Wheeling Jesuit to just two shots on goal.
