Men's Soccer Team Stays 22nd in National Rankings

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team stayed put again in the fourth weekly installment of the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Rankings that were released today.

Wesleyan remained 22nd nationally for the third straight week after a 2-0 week last week recording wins over Concord and Wheeling Jesuit.

Wesleyan, under the guidance of veteran head coach Gavin Donaldson, is 6-1-1 on the season.

Mountain East Conference rival University of Charleston remained first in the national rankings with a perfect 8-0-0 mark.

Wesleyan and UC are the only two teams from the MEC ranked nationally.

The two teams will play each other in Charleston Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Bobcats also retained the same ranking in the Atlantic Regional Rankings this week, remaining at No. 3.

Charleston stayed first in the regional rankings while Millersville remained second this week.

The MEC's Notre Dame and Urbana remained sixth and seventh respectively in the regional rankings.
