BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – After leading regionally-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan to a share of the MEC Regular Season Championship, Alexander Lyudinovskiy (pictured) has been honored as the MEC Player of the Week.
The Malaga, Spain native remains unbeaten in MEC play after earning critical wins for the Bobcats this week. Lyudinovskiy, a freshman, picked up victories in singles and doubles play against defending MEC Champion, West Liberty, and followed up with a singles and doubles win against rival Charleston. Both matches were 5-4 decisions.
He also recorded a win against UVa-Wise in number one singles play in 9-0 win.
Lyudinovskiy has won 10 consecutive matches for West Virginia Wesleyan and stands 19-2 in singles play.
