BUCKHANNON – First-year West Virginia Wesleyan track and field head coach Josh Lopitz is going to hold his first Wesleyan Track and Field camp from July 16 to July 21.
The camp is open to any male or female entering ninth through 12th grade.
The cost is $225 for overnighters and $150 for day campers. The cost will cover residence hall accommodations, three meals per day for overnight athletes, a t-shirt and event instruction. For day campers, the $150 fee includes lunch.
The camp will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The week-long camp be held on the Wesleyan campus and the McWhorter-Goodwin Track.
The camp will help each individual improve their skill while reinforcing a love for the sport. The camp will focus on the personal goals of each athlete over the five days.
Events covered will include the pole vault, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, sprinters, hurdlers, distance runners and relays. Throwers will need to bring their own implements.
