BUCKHANNON- Hero Sports Announced on February 1st their 2018 Division II Preseason All-America Team. Among that list was West Virginia Wesleyan Softball Pitcher Hannah Vet.
The 5'8" senior from Naples, Florida set her standards high starting as a freshman and has continued to stay true to her goals. As a freshmen Vet had one of the best seasons ever by a Lady Cat. She brought in a host of awards including, Mountain East Conference Pitcher of the Year, All-Mountain East Tournament Team, 2015 Daktronics, Inc./Division II CCA Softball All-Atlantic Region/District 2 Team, and NFCA Division II All-Region. Vet pitched in 28 games during her freshman season. Recorded a 20-5 pitching record, while registering a remarkable 1.73 ERA.
The Hero Sports article described Hannah as, "Arguably the best pitcher in Division 2 softball right now".

Arguably the best pitcher in Division 2 softball right now, the Wesleyan senior is coming off a season where she was selected as the Mountain East Pitcher of the Year, the conference's Female Athlete of the Year and one of the NFCA's second-team All-Americans. Vet's ERA dipped below 1.00 last season; her 0.94 mark finished as the second-best earned run average in the Division.
