Slippery Rock defeats Bobcats with fourth quarter comeback

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA -- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's basketball team lost to Slippery Rock on Tuesday night 67-71. Leading Slippery Rock to victory was Ciara Patterson scoring 18 points followed by Brooke Hindlerliter scoring 13 points. 

 

Bobcats were trailing going into halftime 32-28. Mari Stewart's hot hand in the 3rd quarter put the Bobcats up 54- 50 heading into the 4th quarter. The Bobcats were outscored 21 to 13 in the final minutes. 

 

Wesleyan was led by Mari Stewart's double-double scoring 27 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Following Stewart was Alexa Szelong scoring 12 points. 

 

The Bobcats will return to action on December 30th at Livingstone, tipping off at 2pm.
