Women Gain Road Win at Charleston

BUCKHANNON- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball team defeated Charleston at Thursday's match up 47-44, increasing their overall record to 7-14. This win surpasses Coach Vicky Bullett's record in the previous season with 6 wins.

Wesleyan scored the first basket of the game and never looked back, keeping the lead throughout the competition. The Bobcats seventeen point lead going into the third quarter gave them enough of a cushion to pull through with a win.

Leading the team to victory were Stacy Remer and Mari Stewart both scoring 10 points while Tara Goldman pulled down 11 rebounds.

Brooklyn Pannell led Charleston with 16 points.

Wesleyan improves their MEC record to 5-10 and will return to action on their home court on Saturday against West Virginia State for a 2pm tip off.
