Women Outscored By Urbana

BUCKHANNON- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball team lost to Urbana in a second half battle on Thursday night, 72-67.


The Bobcats led by 14 starting the third quarter then were outscored 21-13. Leading into the fourth quarter the Bobcats were up 51-45. As the minutes wound down the Blue Knights took the lead with a three-pointer by Megan Beachy.  The Bobcats were outscored in the fourth quarter 27-16. 


The Bobcats were led by Mari Stewart with a double-double scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Stacy Remer followed with 13 points and Alexa Szelong scored 11 points. Lana Long also put up 9 points.


Stefanie Davis and Megan Beachy both led the Blue Knights with 17 points.


Wesleyan falls to an overall record of 7-16 and an MEC record of 5-12. The Bobcats will return to play at Notre Dame College on Saturday at 2pm.
