Women Lose After Hard Fought 4th Quarter

BUCKHANNON- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball team lost to Notre Dame College on Saturday's match up 68-64. 

 

After going down by 23 points with 6:50 left in the 4th quarter, Coach Vicky Bullett's young freshmen squad's relentless attitude fought back to cut the deficit to just 4 points at the end of the game. The Bobcats outscored Notre Dame in the 4th quarter 27-15.

 

Leading the Bobcats was Mari Stewart with 17 points while the bench came in a scored a combined 29 points. The contributions were a team effort throughout this competition.

 

Seina Adachi led Notre Dame with 17 points followed by Marisa Finazzo with 15 points.

 

Wesleyan falls to an overall record of 7-18 and an MEC record of 5-14. The Bobcats will return to action on Thursday against West Liberty at 5:30pm.
