Women Lose to Wheeling Jesuit

BUCKHANNON- West Virginia Wesleyan Women's Basketball team lost to Wheeling Jesuit during Saturday afternoon's match up 81-78. 

The Bobcats outscored the Cardinals 46-37 in the second half but were not able to finish on top from the first half deficit.

Leading the Bobcats was freshmen Abi Gabauer shooting 11 for 11 (100%) from the field for a career high 24 points. Following Gabauer were Mari Stewart scoring 21 points and Stacy Remer scoring 10 points.

The Cardinals were led by senior, Mariah Callen scoring 31 points. 

Wesleyan falls to an overall record of 8-19 and and MEC record of 6-15. The Bobcats will return to their home court on Wednesday against Fairmont with 5:30pm tip off.
