Lady Bobcat Golfers Place Third at Ursuline Invitational

PEPPER PIKE, OhioSandra Brink and Katie Casey finished individually second and third to help the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat golf team to a third-place finish in the two-day Ursuline Invitational that concluded today.

Brink shot a two-day total of 163 (83-80) for runner-up honors while Casey fired a 172 (80-92) for third place.

Becca Davis also had a top 10 finish as she placed eighth with a 182 (91-91).

Brianna Stokes of Notre Dame took low medalist honors with a 161 (78-83).

As a team, Wesleyan just one stroke behind eventually champion Malone firing a first-day score of 367. They ballooned up to a 387 on day two settling for third place with a two-day total of 754.

Malone took first place with a 732 (366-366) while Capital was second with a 750 (378-372).

The Lady Bobcats will return to action April 9-10 in the MEC Spring Championships at Oglebay Resort.
