Buckhannon, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan Lacrosse team played host to the Alderson-Broaddus Battlers in a non-conference match-up that saw the Bobcats cruise to a 12-1 victory at Cebe Ross Field Thursday afternoon.
After a slow start the Bobcats would spawn off eight straight goals in the first half rolling to the win. Teammates Taylor Holmes and Kelly Steen led Wesleyan with three goals each to help improve the Bobcats record to 3-4 on the season. The Bobcats would control time of possession as well as out shooting the Battlers 33-4. Goalkeeper Kallie Morgan would keep a clean net until mid second half when AB would finally strike but it was all Bobcats from there as Wesleyan finished the game with the two final goals bringing the final count to 12-1.
The Bobcats will return to action this Saturday as they host Tiffin. Game time is slated for 1pm.
