Strong Second Half Pushes Dragons Past Bobcats 13-8

Buckhannon, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat Lacrosse team fell to the Tiffin Dragons 13-8 Saturday afternoon at Cebe Ross Field. A strong second half propelled the Dragons to their first win of the season improving to 1-6 while the Bobcats fall to 3-5 for the 2014 campaign.
Attacker Emily Noel would lead Wesleyan with four goals on the afternoon while teammate Taylor Holmes added two of her own marks. The Dragons would start off the game hot on a 3-0 run before Wesleyan would answer back with four straight goals of their own taking the lead 4-3. Tiffin would reclaim the lead at 5-4 before the teams traded goals and went in to intermission 6-5 in the Dragons favor.
The second half was dominated by Tiffin with bursting attacks and swift ball control as they outscored the Bobcats 7-3 in the half to claim the overall 13-8 victory. Tiffin would be led by three players with three goals while Bobcat Goalkeeper Kalli Morgan still managed to collect nine saves.
The Bocats will head to Wheeling-Jesuit Wednesday evening. Game time is slated for 6pm.
