BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team broke into the top 10 this week in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Following a perfect 2-0 week, the Lady Bobcats moved up one spot from 11th to 10th.
The Lady Bobcats went on the road last week and beat Charleston, 2-0 and Fairmont State, 4-0.
The Lady Bobcats still remain the only Mountain East Conference team in the national rankings.
Head coach Patrick Holguin and his Lady Bobcats are 10-0-1 on the season but the rankings came out prior to their 1-0 win over Notre Dame on Tuesday.
In the USC Atlantic Regional Rankings, Wesleyan remained second behind Kutztown University.
Notre Dame College is ranked fourth regionally.
Wesleyan will return to action Friday against Shepherd at Culpepper Stadium for a 7 p.m. battle.
