LBC Posts Another Shutout in 2-0 Win Over Urbana

URBANA, Ohio – Another game, another victory and another shutout for the No. 10 West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat soccer team.

This time, they blanked the Urbana Blue Knights by a 2-0 score on the road in a Mountain East Conference contest.

Marissa Zetty had the lone score of the first half when she scored on a penalty kick in the 18th minute.

Madison LaPole added an insurance goal in the 51st minute with an unassisted goal to give Wesleyan the 2-0 edge.

Wesleyan had 14 shots and put nine on goal.

Urbana had just five shots and put two on goal.

Ashlee Schumacher didn't face a shot in the first half while Chelsea Hubner made two saves in the second half.

Only four fouls were called in the game with three being called against Wesleyan and one against Urbana.

Urbana dropped to 1-8-3 overall and 1-7-3 in the MEC.

Wesleyan improved to 12-0-1 overall and 11-0 in the MEC.

They will return to action this Wednesday on the road as they face West Liberty in a league contest at 3 p.m.
