BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team fell out of the top 10 this week in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Rankings that were released on Tuesday.
Despite a 3-0 week with three shutouts and a huge regional win over Notre Dame, the Lady Bobcats dropped from 10th to 11th this week in the national rankings.
Adelphi, who wasn't even ranked last week, moved into the 10th spot bumping the Lady Bobcats down to No. 11
Last, week the Lady Bobcats beat Notre Dame (1-0), Shepherd (1-0) and Urbana (2-0).
The Lady Bobcats still remain the only Mountain East Conference team in the national rankings.
Head coach Patrick Holguin and his Lady Bobcats are 12-0-1 on the season.
In the USC Atlantic Regional Rankings, Wesleyan remained second behind Kutztown University.
Notre Dame College is ranked sixth regionally as they are the only other MEC team appearing in the regional rankings.
Wesleyan will return to action Wednesday on the road against West Liberty.
