FAIRFAX, Va. – Lauren Cvechko continued her torrid winter during the indoor track and field season for the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats.
This past Sunday at the George Mason Last Chance Meet, she broke the indoor record in the long jump with a jump of 5.51 meters.
The old record was held by Gretchen Lantz with a jump of 5.33.
Cvechko finished second overall in the event.
She also finished third in the high jump with a leap of 1.65 meters and took seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.27 seconds.
Caysie Irving finished sixth in the pole vault with a vault of 3.03 meters.
On the men's side, Nate Moore ran an 8.17 in the 60-meter hurdles, just missing his own mark of 8.16.
He finished fifth in the event.
Tavaris Anderson took 15th in the long jump with a jump of 6.04 meters.
The NCAA Indoor nationals will take place March, 10-11 in Bessemer, Ala.
