BUCKHANNON -- West Virginia Wesleyan captured 22 individual event titles in the 2017 Bobcat Classic contested Thursday and Friday on the Wesleyan campus.
The event included Davis & Elkins, Alderson-Broaddus, Glenville State and WVU-Tech.
Katie Demi (pictured right) led the way on the women's side, winning the javelin with a heave of 40.58, an NCAA provisional mark.
She was joined in victory by teammates Jordan Lynn (shot put), Aiyana Kachmarek (pictured below) (discus), Lauren Crimm (hammer), Anja Beckmann (triple jump), Ali Allen (long jump), Joy Price (high jump), Mim Stonecipher (pole vault), Mykera Days (100), Caylee Painter (200), Sydney Pineault (800 and 1500), Rachael Englund (10,000), Baylee Summers (steeplechase), Lauren Cvechko (100H), Lauren Leaman (400H) and Audrey Barber (heptathlon).
Dylon Rippeto led the men's attack with victories in both the hammer throw and discus throw.
He was joined in victory by Alex Moss (javelin), Nicholas Molina (pole vault), Jacob Ortiz (long jump), Isaiah Robinson (800), Austin Jarrell (5000), Nate Moore (110H) and Austin Austin Gresser (400H).
Wesleyan also captured wins in all four relays.
"Today was a good step for our team overall," Wesleyan head coach Jesse Skiles said. "We also had some nice performances from many athletes who were in college debuts, or doing new events. We have a lot of kids who just want to help the team in anyway they can."
Wesleyan is back in action this week at the Bethany Invitational on Saturday, April 1.
