Men and Women's Track and Field Teams Take First at GSC

GLENVILLE -- West Virginia Wesleyan's regionally ranked track teams posted a sweep of the Brandi Bowen Invitational in Glenville on Sunday.

They won the six-team event, with the men posting 279 points, outdistancing second place Glenville (146).

The women tallied 288 points, also defeating the runner-up hosts (150).

 Wesleyan's women won 10 individual events. 

The winners included Emma Harrison (800), Sydney Pineault (1500), Brooke Phelps (Steeplechase), Lauren Leaman (400H), Kassey Wagner (Pole Vault), Anja Beckmann (Triple Jump), Aiyana Kachmarek (Discus), Abby Buchan (Javelin), Paxton Winston (High Jump), and the 4x400 relay team of Leaman, Pineault, Harrison, and Lexi Beach.

Wesleyan's men won five events.

This included Hunter LeMasters (Javelin), Dylon Rippeto (Discus), Tavaris Anderson (Triple Jump), Eric Wooten (Steeplechase), and Nate Moore (110-Hurdles).

Wesleyan is back in action this week, hosting the Jasmine Claggett Memorial on Friday.
