Wesleyan men's soccer team hosted Millersville (PA) this afternoon and after battling through poor weather and field conditions the game went into double overtime and ended in 1-1 tie.
The Bobcats were the first to get on the board, merely five minutes into the game when sophomore, Mathew Brown (pictured), broke free from defensive players, challenged the goalie, and placed the ball in the left corner of the net.
Millersville got on the board with 23:50 on the clock when a player received a high ball that he was able to head right past Wesleyan's goalie, Ryan McDougall, tying the game.
Neither team managed to grab another goal, ending the game after double overtime with a final score of 1-1.
McDougall for the Bobcats ended the game with a total of 5 saves in the net.
Wesleyan now has an overall record of 6-2-1 for their season and are next in action this coming Tuesday as they travel to Alderson-Broaddus. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
