Hello all student athletes, new and returning. We are very happy that you have chosen WVWC for your education and sports participation.

Please view the SWOL tutorial videos (links below) that will help you with the paperwork process that is required for participation. New student-athletes will need to create an account with Sportsware as well as print the the insurance verification form and physical evaluation form (links below). These two forms will need to be filled out by the appropriate individuals and then uploaded to Sportsware.

Also, please review the banned substances forms and print and complete by your medical provider only if applicable. These forms will also need to be uploaded to Sportsware.

A hemoglobin solubility blood test will need to be completed and the results will need to be uploaded to Sportsware. This is only needed once. If you are a returning athlete this is a step that you completed your first year.

MAT Student Spotlight
Hunter-Williams

Hunter Williams
Major: Exercise Science, Minor: Business
Hometown: Beckley, West Virginia

I played for WVWC’s football team for four years, along with being a brother of the Kappa Alpha Order, Beta Chi Chapter on campus, where I served as the Chapter President for two years.

I chose WVWC because it gave me the opportunity to continue playing football after high school. I also loved the small campus and classes, along with the great overall atmosphere.

I chose the MAT program because I loved my first four years so much, that I wanted to continue my education in a great program. I am able to learn hands-on knowledge for when I pursue further schooling.

My favorite part of being a student athletic trainer is the connection I am able to make with athletes on and off the field. I am able to help them at practice, and sit alongside them in classes. I also love the atmosphere in the ATF, as it makes it fun and exciting to come to practice, no matter the hour.

Post-graduation I plan on working as an Athletic Trainer for a few years to get more experience, before heading to chiropractic school.

My ultimate professional goal is to one day have my own practice in West Virginia, working as a Chiropractor. I also plan to help serve the community as an Athletic Trainer, at a local high school.
