Box Score West Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer was on the road this afternoon taking on Ohio Valley University. The Lady Bobcats proved to be the stronger team, shutting the Fighting Scots out with a final score of 4-0.
The first goal for Wesleyan came with 14:49 on the clock when freshman, Abbey Linblad, received a pass from teammate
Aleisha Rees and found an opening in OVU's net.
Goal two came with nine minutes left in the half by freshman,
Amber Wozny. Wozny's goal was assisted by Valeria Barlow. The Bobcats ended the first half up, 2-0.
Wesleyan dominated the second half of the game, as well, out shooting the Fighting Scotts 14-3 in the half. The Bobcats increased their lead just 2:24 seconds in the second half when freshman
Rachel Ritchey scored an unassisted goal. Ten minutes later Wesleyan put themselves on the board again with a goal off of a penalty kick by senior,
Katie Roberts.
The Lady Bobcats are now 8-3-2, and will be in action on Saturday at home against Notre Dame College.
