West Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team dominated Lock Haven University this afternoon, shutting out the visiting Bald Eagles, 4-0. The Bobcats controlled the game, out shooting the Bald Eagles, 21-3.
Goal one came just four minutes into the first half when Karl McKnight headed a corner kick past the hands of LHU goalie Chad Badorf. With 21:09 on the clock, Matthew Brown (pictured) passed the ball to Liam Maloney, allowing Maloney to head the ball in the net. The first half ended with Wesleyan up 2-0.
In the second period the Bobcats grabbed two more goals. Diego Michelato received a well-placed pass from Adrian Eccles with 35:10 on the clock. The next goal came one minute later by Tagarira Marange, assisted by Jacob Maitland.
In the goal for Wesleyan was senior, Ryan McDougall, who recorded two saves on the day.
The Bobcats improve their record to 9-4-1 and return to the field this coming Wednesday, October 19th, against Shepherd University. The game will be played at Wesleyan's Wood Street Field at 7 p.m.
