Box Score West Virginia Wesleyan women's volleyball traveled to Shepherd University yesterday and after taking the match into five games, the Bobcats grabbed the win. Wesleyan won the first, second, and fifth game of the match (27-25, 20-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13).
Paula Renteria stood out for the Bobcats in the front row with a team high of 15 kills and three errors. Also, chipping in was Erin Bond with nine kills and no errors. Bond also recorded three block assists and one block solo.
Leading Wesleyan in defense was Renata Comparini (pictured) with a team high of 27 digs. Comparini also grabbed four service aces in the match.
Setting for the Bobcats was Casey Pattyn with 39 assists.
Wesleyan now advances to 8-2 in the conference and an overall record of 17-8. The Bobcats see the court next on October 24, traveling to Glenville State College. Game time is 7 p.m.
