The Rams got back in the game on the second possession of the second half as Addison jolted in to get SU within three at 24-21. The Ram defense forced a three and out, then Copper hooked up with a wide open John Frick for a 67 yard touchdown to put the Rams ahead 28-24. Neugebauer again found Campbell to tie the game at 38-38 and send the game into overtime.

The Bobcats opened the extra session with the ball and Neugebauer found Benners from 21 yards to give WVWC a 45-38 lead. Copper hooked up with Frick to get within one at 45-44. The Bobcats were flagged for roughing the kicker on the extra point which moved the ball the one yard-line.
