Wesleyan Tops Concord, 1-0

Rebounding from a tough loss this past Sunday against the No. 12 California (PA), the Lady Bobcats soccer team defeated Concord University on the road this afternoon, 1-0.

Wesleyan dominated the game against the Lady Lions, out shooting them 11-3 in the first half and 12 to 1 in the second.

The lone goal in the game came just 14 minutes into the first half when junior Aleisha Rees found Rachel Ritchey (pictured) for her third goal of the season.

Senior, Caroline Lalley won the game in the goal for the Bobcats with 4 saves in the game.

Wesleyan now advances to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Lady Bobcats are next in action this Saturday, September 17, at home against the University of Charleston. The game is set to begin at 5 p.m. Fans are reminded to wear orange.
