Box Score Lady Bobcat volleyball was in action this evening at Rockefeller Arena, hosting the visiting Golden Eagles of the University of Charleston. Wesleyan entered the contest with and overall record of 10-7, whereas, Charleston was 6-11.
The Bobcats dominated, winning the match in a quick three games. Wesleyan jumped on the Golden Eagles early, winning game one 25-16. Game two was a little bit closer, but the Bobcats still came out on top, winning 25-23. Wesleyan then went on to end the match in game three with a score of 25-17.
Playing an impressive game for the Bobcats was sophomore, Camblin Leonard (pictured). Leonard tallied 6 kills with no errors, landing a .600 hitting percentage for the night. Leonard also recorded 5 serving aces for the Bobcats.
Also, contributing to Wesleyan was freshman, Erin Bond, with 10 kills and 2 errors on 22 attempts. Bond also grabbed 1 block solo.
Playing defense was junior, Renata Comparini, with a team high of 15 digs. Senior, Jessica Pattyn, followed with 9 digs.
Setting for the Bobcats was sophomore, Casey Pattyn, with a total of 33 assists for the night.
Wesleyan now advances to 4-1 in the conference and an overall record of 11-7. The Bobcats are next in action on the road playing Bluefield State on October 4th. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
