BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – West Virginia Wesleyan outscored Bluefield State 47-22 in the second half on its way to a 76-42 win on Tuesday evening.
Raymont McElroy notched a game-high 23 points. Kelsey Williams added a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Chase Morgan (13), Alex Webb (13) and Vincent Rogers (11) each registered double figures for Bluefield State.
West Virginia Wesleyan controlled the glass with 53 rebounds to the Blues' 26. The Bobcats shot 50 percent from the field and limited BSC to 28 percent, including 6-of-27 (22 percent) from three.
Wesleyan jumped out to a 21-8 advantage, Williams tallied six of the 21 points. The Bobcats held a 29-20 lead after 20 minutes of play.
The Bobcats scored 43 of the first 52 points in the second half on their way to a 76-42 win.
The Bobcats are now 8-5 on the year and 4-5 in the WVIAC. WVWC is next in action on Saturday against nationally ranked West Liberty at 4 p.m.
