WVSU Ousts WVWC, 5-0

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia State registered a 5-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday in the second round of the WVIAC tennis tournament.

The Bobcats defeated Concord in the first round.

West Virginia State secured a spot in the WVIAC women's tennis semifinals by picking up a 5-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan by a 5-0 score Friday.

Andreea Slusarciuc and Diana Cotoros teamed up for an 8-3 win at the No. 1 doubles spot for the Yellow Jackets. Brittany Franco and Cora Berna totaled an 8-1 victory at the No .2 spot while Charlotte Sandy and Jordan Kerns amassed an 8-3 win at the No. 3 position.

Franco and Slusarciuc posted identical 6-0, 6-0 victories at the top two spots, respectively. The victories secured the 5-0 team win.
