BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The Bobcats managed to shoot just 17.9 percent (10-of-56) from the field on Thursday night as they fell to Alderson-Broaddus, 74-39.
Kelsey Williams was the lone Bobcat in double figures, but did finish with a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds).
The Battlers were led by Kurklin Bohanon's 21 points. O'Dell Eargle (15) and Jonathan Ferguson (14) also finished in double figures for A-B.
Wesleyan starters made a combined 6-of-42 shots from the field in the game. The Bobcats also struggled from the charity stripe, where they made just 15-of-27 attempts. A-B dominated on the glass, holding a 48-35 advantage. WVWC turned the ball over only seven times in the game. Wesleyan hit 4-of-28 shots from beyond the arc.
A-B opened up a 19-4 lead in the firt half. The hot start included a trio of threes by the Battlers. Alderson-Broaddus went to the break holding a 37-21 lead.
Wesleyan got within 11 early in the second half, but it would be all A-B from there as they took the 74-39 win.
The Bobcats travel to Glenville State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
