ERIE, Pa. – Noah Cottrill netted 25 points, including hitting 6-of-6 threes, as part of a 59 point second half for the Bobcats as they downed Notre Dame (Ohio) 85-63 on Saturday evening in the consolation game of the Porreco Cup.
Cottrill finished the night with a game-high 31 points. Kelsey Williams registered his fifth consecutive double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
The Falcons were led by Eric Dummermeth's 13 points, while Jarvis Huntley added 11 points.
Wesleyan held a pair of brief six-point leads in the first half, but NDC went to the break holding a 30-26 lead.
Cottrill scored 11 straight points in the second half to take the Bobcats from trailing to a 44-39 lead. Wesleyan outscored Notre Dame 30-16 over the final 10 minutes of the game to claim the 85-63 victory.
Cottrill and Williams were selected to the all-tournament team.
The Bobcats return home to face Seton Hill on New Year's Eve at 2 p.m.
