ATHENS, W.Va. – Lydia Bridenbaugh's lay-up with under one second left sent Wesleyan home with a 76-74 win over Concord on Wednesday evening.

Bridenbaugh netted a game-high 26 points. Brittany Maxey registered a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Danae Hill finished with 13 points and Jamie Kaufman added 10 for the Lady Bobcats.

Amanda Smith (15), Camisha Alexander (14), Anna Truckley (14), Jolysa Brown (13) and Andrea Bertrand (10) all recorded double figures for Concord.

Wesleyan hit on 10 of its first 11 shots racing out to a 30-9 advantage, Bridenbaugh scored 10 points to spark the run. The Mountain Lions closed the half scoring 31 of the final 42 points to go to the locker room, trailing by just one at 41-40.

The Bobcats held a slight 23-20 advantage on the glass in the first 20 minutes; however 13 of CU's 20 rebounds were on the offensive end. WVWC hit on 15-of-26 (58 percent) attempts in the first half, compared to just 13-of-39 (33 percent). Concord drained 4-of-8 attempts from beyond the arc.

Concord broke a 49-49 tie with an 18-10 run midway through the second half to take its largest lead of the game at 67-59. Wesleyan answered with an 11-4 jolt to knot the game at 74-74, the run was aided by four Mountain Lion turnovers and a pair of threes. Following a Wesleyan miss and a CU turnover with just two seconds left, Bridenbaugh took the inbounds pass and drove to the basket for a lay-up to secure the 76-74 win.

The Lady Bobcats are now 13-5 overall and 10-3 in league play. Wesleyan returns to the Rockefeller Center on Saturday for the first of three home games against Ohio Valley at 2 p.m.
