Box Score 2 FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball team opened the 2012 season with a pair of victories at Falcon Fest on Friday. The Bobcats rallied to down Notre Dame (OH), 3-2 (19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 27-25, 15-11) and rolled past Edinboro, 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 28-26).
Erin Bond led the way against NDC, registering 15 kills; Korin Wengryn added 10 kills to the attack. Casey Pattyn notched 42 assists, and Renata Comparini tallied 23 digs. Comparini surpassed the 1,000 career digs mark in the match.
Bond and Colleen Black each tallied eight kills in the win over Edinboro. Comparini picked up 16 digs in game two.
Wesleyan wraps up play at Falcon Fest tomorrow with matches against Point Park and Ursuline.
