ELIKNS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins built a 33 point halftime lead and rolled to an 83-66 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday night.
Kelsey Williams led the Bobcats with a 23 point and eight rebound effort. Chris Dewberry drained four threes on his way to a season-high 18 points and Soren Dossing added 11 points for WVWC.
D'Quan Lynch (24), Shane Brown (16) and Ante Cosic (10) all tallied double figures for the Senators.
D&E sank 13-of-24 attempts from beyond the arc in the game. Davis & Elkins got 34 points from its bench, while Wesleyan netted 22 points.
The game was tied at 12-12 five minutes in, but the Senators scored 47 of the final 61 points of the half to take a commanding 59-26 lead to the locker room.
Wesleyan closed the gap to 16 in the second half, but was unable to recover any further, falling 83-66.
The Bobcats will look to get back in the win column on Saturday at Pitt.-Johnstown. Tip time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
