Griffins Too Much for Lady Bobcats, 90-60

GREENSBURG, Pa. – Seton Hill built a 14 point halftime lead and coasted to a 90-60 win over Wesleyan on Saturday.

Atavia Blake, Danesha Richardson and Kerry Conroy each finished with14 points for Wesleyan.  Brittany Maxey pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

Katie Gattuso (24), Paige Alviani (20) and Kelly Brennan (15) all scored in double digits for the Griffins.

SHU dominated on the glass by a 47-32 margin. Seton Hill shot 52 percent (35-of-67), while limiting Wesleyan to 38 percent (23-of-61).

Seton Hill used a 10-1 run to take an early 20-13 lead. Gattuso scored six of the 10 points. The Griffins went on a 12-2 sprint later in the half to push the advantage to 39-23. Alviani scored eight of the 12 points.  SHU went to the break holding a 43-29 lead.

The Griffins scored 16 of the second half's first 22 points to seize control of the game at 59-35 and would cruise to the 90-60 victory.

The Bobcats travel to Alderson-Broaddus on Monday for a 5:15 p.m. tip.
