SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Wesleyan lacrosse team dropped its season-opener to Shepherd by a 22-2 decision.

Taylor Holmes and Jaclyn Luciany each scored one goal for the Bobcats. Jenna Wadsworth made 13 saves and Alexi Swisher notched five saves.

Shepherd registered 40 shots on goal, while Wesleyan was limited to six.

The lacrosse team heads to Alderson-Broaddus next Saturday at 11 a.m.
