GREENSBURG, Pa. – Seton Hill scored 18 second chance points to come away with a 60-56 win over Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
Kelsey Williams scored 16 points and ripped down 13 rebounds to post his 15th double-double of the year. Chris Dewberry added 14 points off the bench for the Bobcats.
David Windsor paced Seton Hill with 17 points. Malachi Leonard and Nate Perry each netted 11 points for the Griffins.
SHU held a 40-27 advantage on the glass, including pulling down 14 offensive boards.
The Griffins took an early 15-9 lead, Wesleyan responded with an 8-0 to go in front 17-15. The teams battled back-and-forth the rest of the half as Seton Hill took a 32-30 lead to the break.
The Bobcats fell behind 48-40 in the second half, but responded with a 13-5 surge to knot the game at 53-53 on Dewberry's traditional three-point play. SHU scored the next five points and Wesleyan was unable to convert opportunities down the stretch, falling 60-56.
The Bobcats will look to get back in the win column on Monday when they head to Alderson-Broaddus for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
