CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Wesleyan softball team moved to 6-2 on the year after defeating both Felician (4-0) and Stone Hill (9-1).

West Virginia Wesleyan 4, Felician 0

Paige Cummings' sacrifice fly in the first gave Wesleyan a 1-0 lead. Rebekah Honce plated a run with a RBI single to extend the lead to 2-0. Cummings blasted a two-run homer in the fifth to seal the 4-0 victory.

Kaitlyn Carey (3-1) tossed the complete game, scattering five hits and striking out five.

West Virginia Wesleyan 9, Stone Hill 1

Wesleyan scored a run on an error in the third to go in front 1-0. Carey added a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly. Wesleyan scored seven runs in the fifth on four Stone Hill errors to take the 9-1 win.

Jessica Griffin (2-0) hurled five innings, allowing one run on three hits with six strikeouts and one walk.
