CHARLESTON, W. Va. – In a tightly contested match and the longest one of the day, West Virginia Wesleyan was pushed by Davis & Elkins, but advanced to the semifinals with a 5-4 victory.

The Bobcats earned a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Javier Yim Kim and Eduard Gusevs teamed up for an 8-3 victory at the No. 2 position while Nathan Savil and Douglas Oliveira posted an 8-4 win at the No. 3 spot. The Senators got on the board with an 8-4 victory at the No. 1 slot as Charles Brunel and Simon Meriau notched the win.

WVWC held a 3-1 margin after Yim Kim tallied a 6-4, 6-2 victory at the top singles position. However, the Senators battled back to tie it at three. Meriau pulled D&E within one with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot. Agustin Ochoa's 6-4, 6-1 victory at the No. 3 slot tied the contest.

The Bobcats took a 4-3 lead when Andre Fernandes notched a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 6 position. The Senators' Alain Bailey tied it at four with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 victory at the No. 5 position. Aitor Reparaz clinched the match for WVWC with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
