ATHENS – Alex Zidani continued to provide a spark on offense for the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat soccer team.
Zidani scored the lone goal today for the Bobcats in a 1-0 victory over the homestanding Concord Mt. Lions in a MEC clash.
Zidani now has five goals in his last five games and leads the team with six overall goals.
Zidani scored the lone goal of the game at the 61:29 mark when he beat Concord keeper Mitchell Thompson.
Jordan Halpern was credited with the assist.
Wesleyan owned an 8-6 margin in shots-on-goal and a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Felipe Vial turned away six shots in the net for Wesleyan.
Wesleyan improved to 6-3-2 overall and a 4-2-1 ledger in the MEC.
Concord dropped to 1-9-1 overall and 1-7 in the MEC.
Wesleyan will return to action Tuesday at Notre Dame. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
