Volleyball Lady 'Cats Defeat University of Charleston, 3-0

Buckhannon - The West Virginia Wesleyan Volleyball team snapped their two-game losing streak against the University of Charleston Tuesday night. 

The Lady Bobcats defeated the Golden Eagles in three sets, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-23. 

Hannah King and Lindsay Caldwell led the way with eight kills each, while Erin Bond had seven. 

Paulina Nottingham was excellent as well tallying in 34 assists. 

Lexi Walsh recorded two service aces on the night for the Lady Bobcats.

The win moves Wesleyan to 8-9 on the year and 7-4 in conference play.

The Lady 'Cats will look to finish the season strong and advance in the standings in order to host a MEC first-round tournament match, as only the top four teams get to host. 

Wesleyan is on the road for their next match on Tuesday, Oct. 28 to face Glenville State.

Glenville St. is currently 1-22 and 0-9 in the conference.
