Box Score BUCKHANNON -- The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats did everything but actually win the game here Saturday night against the University of Charleston in a MEC contest.
The game was played primarily on Charleston's half of the field, Wesleyan controlled play and dominated the statistical battle, the only thing they couldn't do was find the back of net.
The final result was a disappointing 1-0 loss to the Eagles.
Wesleyan owned a 22-4 advantage in shots and a 8-2 margin in shots-on-goal.
Wesleyan peppered the net all night, but every shot they took seemingly went wide or high.
The lone goal scored by Charleston occurred in the 11th minute of the game.
Ivey Nucilli placed a cross in the front of the net that Wesleyan keeper Lauren Duncan swatted away, but Isabella Jaffin was there to put away the rebound.
Charleston improved to 5-2 in the MEC and 6-3-1 overall.
Wesleyan dropped to 4-2-1 in the MEC and 6-2-1 overall.
The Lady 'Cats will return to action this Tuesday when they host West Liberty at 7 p.m.
