Salem, Va. -- In a 12 inning battle between two powerhouses, the UVa-Wise Cavaliers handed the #1 seeded Bobcats their first loss of this MEC Double-Elimination tournament 5-0. Pitcher Jacqui Omichinski struck out 11 in the loss and second baseman Alex Furr tallied two hits in the losing effort.

The Bobcats will resume Sunday with some work to do to earn a MEC Championship.
