Lady Bobcat Soccer Team Blanks Shepherd, 1-0

SHEPHERDSTOWN -- Lauren Duncan remains hot in the net for the West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcats as she posted her fourth shutout of the year and her third straight in Wesleyan's 1-0 victory over Shepherd today in a MEC game.

Duncan, the current MEC Player of the Week, turned away six shots to lead the Lady 'Cats to the victory.

Keenan Moreta gave Wesleyan all the offense they needed just eight minutes into the game when when she put a shot-on-goal and beat Shepherd keeper Anna Mueller.

Megan McCoy was credited with an assist on the goal.

Shepherd outshot Wesleyan by a 16-13 margin but Wesleyan owned a seven-to-six lead in shots-on-goal.

The Lady 'Cats improved to 5-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the MEC. 

They will return to the pitch again this Saturday when they travel to Urbana for a noon start time.
