Soccer 'Cats Blank Urbana, 1-0

URBANA, OHIO -- After dropping two straight 1-0 decisions, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat soccer team decided to turn the table and win their own 1-0 decision.

The 'Cats defeated Urbana here Saturday afternoon by that 1-0 count in a MEC clash.

The lone goal was an unassisted effort by Alex Zidani in the 59th minute of the contest.

Wesleyan keeper Felipe Vial made eight saves for his second shutout of the year.

Urbana actually put more shots on goal by an 8-5 margin.

The victory snapped a three-game winless streak for head coach Gavin Donaldson and his Bobcats as they improved their record to 3-3-1 overall and 2-2 in the MEC.

Wesleyan will see action again this Tuesday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a conference tilt set for 7 p.m.
